Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

1. Scope & Applicability

​

This Refund Policy applies to design consulting, planning and layout services offered by Ridgeline Design Group LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) to residential clients in Utah (“you,” “your”). Because our services are professional and custom-tailored, refund eligibility is subject to the terms below.

2. Consultation Deposits

​

  • For a scheduled consultation (initial design discussion or planning session), the deposit you pay is refundable only if you cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment or do not attend without prior written cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.

  • If you cancel at least 24 hours ahead, we will refund the full deposit within 14 business days to the original payment method.​

 

3. Design Services & Deposits for Project Work

​

  • Once you commission design services beyond a consultation (such as floor plan design, remodeling layouts, detailed drawings), and we commence work on your behalf, your payment becomes earned and is non-refundable except as explicitly set out below.

  • If you terminate the agreement before any deliverables are produced (and we have not begun work), you may be eligible for a partial refund, less any vendor or third-party costs incurred by us.

  • Once any drawings, plans or deliverables have been presented to or approved by you, no refund will be issued.​

 

4. Non-Refundable Items

​

  • Any services already provided, approved, or forwarded for contractor bidding are non-refundable.

  • Third-party costs (for vendors, surveys, renderings, permits, etc.) incurred on your behalf are non-refundable.

  • A change in your preference, timing, or scope after work has begun does not qualify for a refund.​

 

5. How to Request a Refund

​

  • Submit your request in writing to info@ridgeline-utah.com, including your name, project/contract number (if applicable), date of payment, service purchased and reason for the request.

  • We will respond within 10 business days to confirm eligibility and, if approved, process your refund within 14 business days.​

 

6. Governing Law & Consumer Protection

​

  • This policy and any disputes related to it are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.

  • Under Utah Division of Consumer Protection rules, certain deposit/refund disclosures are required when accepting consumer funds. For example, Utah Admin. Code R152-11-10 requires that any deposit accepted by a supplier disclose whether it is refundable and under what conditions (among other requirements). Legal Information Institute

  • By using our services and paying a deposit or fee, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy.​

 

7. Changes to the Policy

​

  • We reserve the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time. You will be notified when changes are made. Continued use of our services after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
